Lionel Messi and Neymar are two of world football’s top players, but they didn’t cover themselves in glory on Tuesday night.
Paris Saint-Germain fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to German giants Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.
A star-studded line-up were given bad player ratings by L’Equipe, especially for Messi and Neymar, the French newspaper giving them both a 3/10.
They were not the only PSG stars to receive such a rating with Marco Verratti, Achraf Hakimi and Warren Zaire-Emery also being given the low score.
Centre-back duo Sergio Ramos and Marquinhos were awarded their side’s highest ratings with 6.
Overall, the PSG team averaged a 3.9/10, which is much less than that of Bayern’s, who averaged 6.
Dayot Upamecano boasts the highest rating out of the two sides with an 8/10.
Despite being sent off after his potentially ‘leg-breaking’ challenge on Messi, Benjamin Pavard was handed a 7/10, as was Kingsley Coman, who scored the only goal of the game.
